Premier, the UK communications agency specialising in entertainment, arts and culture, has been transferred to an independent employee ownership trust by its founders and owners, executive chairman John Reiss and non-executive director David Willing.

With around 25 years in the industry, Premier works with film and TV studios, streamers, games companies and cultural organisations, running publicity, events and brand partnerships. Its existing leadership team remains in place.

The move keeps the agency independent and gives its staff a stake in its future. Creative and communications agencies have been among the most active users of employee ownership in recent years, as founders look for a succession route that protects their culture.
