Derbyshire-headquartered Nuvo Group, backed by private equity firm Northcote Equity, has acquired Charnwood Accountants and Business Advisors, a Loughborough firm established in 2004.
Led by partners Chris Hutton, Steve Lathwood and Anna Brocklehurst, Charnwood advises businesses across Leicestershire, the East Midlands and nationally. It will keep its name, team and Loughborough office, trading as Charnwood Accountants, part of the Nuvo Group.
Chris Hutton said finding the right buyer had been important after more than two decades with the business. Nuvo, which recently launched a legal division through another acquisition, aims to become one of the UK’s top 25 accountancy firms.
