Alpine Group, the Bury-based fire suppression and detection specialist, has acquired Richmond Fire Engineers (Rfe).
Founded in 1992, Rfe is headquartered in Richmond, North Yorkshire, with a design office in Huddersfield, and has built a strong reputation for fire protection work across the public sector, commercial and industrial markets over more than three decades.
Joint managing directors Chris Ryde and Lee Smith described joining the group as an exciting next step, which would strengthen Rfe’s ability to deliver complex specialist projects while keeping its personal service.
Alpine, which is backed by private equity, has grown through acquisitions, adding Kent-based Channel Fire earlier this year. It was advised by Pinsent Masons, BDO and DSW, while Rfe was advised by Grant Thornton Advisory and Weightmans.
